Nurse’s Office

Our school nurses play a vital role in fostering a safe and healthy school environment. They are responsible for implementing LFVH’s preventive health policies and catering to students’ medical needs.

Missions

  • Implement the prevention policy drawn up by the Health and Citizenship Education Committee (CESC).

  • Welcome, listen to, evaluate situations, advise, reassure, and inform students who need support.

  • Administer treatment in the event of acute or chronic pathology.

  • Manage treatments and emergencies.

  • Ensure balanced menus in collaboration with the school restaurant's manager.

  • Intervene and report on child endangerment.

  • Act in the event of communicable diseases.

  • Participate in the management of serious accidents.

Nurses regularly work alongside teachers in the classroom on topics such as school community harmony, emotional and sexual education, personal hygiene, and more.

Student Care Protocol

To limit the risk of contamination, the school requests that families keep any child showing symptoms at home.

  • Maternelle's children are accompanied to the nurse's office by a teacher or teaching assistant. Upon receiving treatment, they return to class under supervision.

  • Elementary school pupils are accompanied to and from the nurse's office by a classmate.

  • Parents are notified whenever their child visits the nurse's office. The nurse documents the reason for the visit and the provided treatment or care on Pronote.

  • Middle and high school students are required to bring their communication booklet when visiting the nurse's office. The visit is recorded in the booklet and validated by the School Office before students return to class.

  • In cases of significant health concerns (e.g., fever, severe injury), families are promptly informed, and the nurse requests parents to assume responsibility for the child's care.
